About Overberg Solar

Overberg Solar started in 2016 when Pieter van Wyk, a registered electrician from Caledon, installed a backup system for a neighbouring farm and the phone did not stop ringing. Nine years later the team is six people and the work is still all local.

Pieter holds Department of Employment and Labour electrician registration and a PV GreenCard, so the Certificates of Compliance are signed in-house and the installation meets the standard insurers and municipalities expect.

How we work

We start with your bill and your roof, not a price list. The proposal shows what the system is designed for, backup during outages, a lower bill, or both, and what it will realistically deliver. The team that quotes is the team that installs.

Where we work

Caledon is home. We install in Hermanus, Grabouw, Bredasdorp, Botrivier and on the farms between them, and we service what we install.
